For those of you who enjoy a challenge, these water sports will provide a unique sensation and experience. It is best to stay in the Senggigi or Mataram areas if you are interested in joining a tour. We do not recommend staying in the Kuta and Gili areas due to the long distance.

There are many surfing spots available around Senggigi. The available spots are not widely publicised to avoid overcrowding.

2. Surfing in Selong Belanak - Lombok Water Sports.

Selong Belanak is widely regarded as Lombok's premier beach for beginner surfers due to its gentle, consistent waves and soft, sandy bottom. This makes it an exceptionally safe and welcoming environment to learn the basics without the hazards of a reef break. Selong Belanak is popular among beginners because the beach sand breaks. This beach is often crowded with novice surfers. However, there are risks when the beach is crowded with surfers, and getting hit by a surfboard is something to be aware of.

3. Fun River Tubing - Lombok Water Sports.

For an exciting river tubing experience in Lombok, visit the western and central parts of the island, where there are several locations for river tubing activities with beautiful natural scenery. The rivers used, such as the Sari River and the Renget River, generally have calm currents with gentle rapids, making them suitable for all ages.

Suranadi (West Lombok): This area is a primary location for river tubing, offering a roughly 2-3 kilometer track that takes about 1-1.5 hours to complete. The route passes through lush tropical forests, rice fields, and local villages. Tour packages often include hotel transfers, lunch, and a visit to the nearby Lingsar Temple.

4. River Rafting Lombok - Lombok Water Sports.

River rafting in Lombok offers an adventurous yet accessible experience through lush tropical landscapes, primarily focused on the Jangkuk River in the Lingsar area of West Lombok. This activity is characterized by its scenic views of rainforests, rice terraces, and traditional village life, with crystal-clear water fed directly by Mount Rinjani's springs.

Jangkuk River is the most popular rafting spot, located about 15 km from Mataram. The route typically covers 4–6.5 kilometers and takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours to complete.

5. Jet Skiing Senggigi - Beach Activities

Jet skiing in Senggigi is a popular and thrilling way to enjoy the beautiful scenery of West Lombok's coastline. The waters of Senggigi Bay are generally calm. Jet Skiing in Senggigi is suitable for both beginners and more experienced jet skiers.
