About This Trip

Conquer Indonesia's second-highest volcano in a fast-paced expedition. Starting from the highland village of Sembalun, you will cross vast, open savannas before conquering the steep, gravelly slopes of Bukit Penyesalan (Regret Hill). Camp under the stars at the Sembalun Crater Rim before an early morning 3-hour push to the summit for a legendary sunrise.

Important Tips for International Travelers:

- Physical Preparation: High physical stamina is required. We strongly recommend stair training and cardio exercises 4 to 8 weeks before your trip.

- Summit Gear: The pre-dawn summit climb is freezing (5–10°C or lower with strong winds). Wear thermal base layers, windproof jackets, beanies, and gloves.

- Altitude Mindset: Walk slowly ("salsa pace"), drink plenty of water, and follow your guide’s instructions closely to prevent altitude sickness.
