  • Morning pick-up
  • Travel to the harbor: You will drive to Tanjung Luar Harbor in East Lombok, which takes about 1.5 to 2 hours.
  • Island hopping: From the harbor, you board a private boat to visit several nearby locations:
    • Gili Pasir (Sand Island): A sandbar island that only appears during low tide. It is known for its clear water and numerous starfish.
    • Gili Petelu: A popular spot for snorkeling, where you can see colorful fish and coral reefs.
    • Pink Beach 2 (Segui Beach): Often visited for snorkeling or simply enjoying the pristine beach.
    • Pink Beach (Tangsi Beach): The main destination where you can swim, snorkel, relax, or hike to a small hill for a panoramic view.

Itinerary – Pink beach tour Lombok.

  1. Pick up from your hotel (Mataram, Sengiggi, or Kuta)
  2. Drive to the Harbour in East Lombok optional stop in Sukarara traditional weaving village, and you will be able to see how traditional sarongs are made
  3. Arrive at the harbour and board your private boat to the first location, Sand Island (Pulau Pasir). This little island of sand only appears at low tide.
  4. Next, we will re-board the boat and head over to the next location, Pink Beach. At certain times of the day, tinges of pink can be seen in the sand. This is made from fragments of red coral. Here, we will snorkel & relax on the beach, there are berugaks (traditional wooden gazebos) for shade and a few vendors selling drinks and food.
  5. We will get lunch here of BBQ seafood (vegetarian food must be pre-ordered)
  6. After relaxing and having lunch, we will go to Gili Petelu, which is a tiny island with soft sand, clear blue water, and excellent snorkelling.
  7. Next, Gili Gambir. Here, you will be able to snorkel perfect coral reefs, teeming with fish. Just remember – be careful not to stand on the coral
  8. Visit the second Pink Beach.
  9. Back to your hotel.

Important things to know

  • The best time to visit is between 12:00 and 3:00 p.m., when the most vivid pink sand is visible under direct sunlight. Visit during low tide to see the starfish at Gili Pasir. The dry season (April to December) offers the best weather.
  • Reality vs. photos: Be aware that the intensely pink color seen in many edited photos is not always the reality. The sand’s hue is subtle and depends heavily on sunlight.
