  • Ages 11 to 64. To enjoy the trek, we recommend in this age range, provided they have a moderate to high level of fitness.

  • Beginners or Casual Hikers. If you don’t hike often, we recommend choosing the 4-day/3-night trek so you can enjoy the journey at a more leisurely pace.
  • Those with Specific Health Conditions. This trek is not recommended for travelers with heart conditions, serious back or spinal injuries, vertigo, or altitude sensitivity.
  • Pregnant Travelers. Professional guides do not recommend this trek for safety reasons and due to the physical demands.

Standard itinerary 3-Day / 2-Night Summit Mount Rinjani.

Day 0. Pick up – Senaru Guest House.

  • Pick-up at airport or hotel around Lombok
  • Transfer to Senaru.
  • Overnight at Senaru guest house.

Day 1. Sembalun Village to Crater Rim Sembalun

  • Distance: ~10 km (6–7 hours).
  • Activity: Register at the Rinjani Information Center (1,051m). Hike through open savanna and steep hills to reach the Sembalun Crater Rim (2,639m) for a sunset view over the lake and summit.

Day 2. Summit Push, Lake Segara Anak, and Hot Springs

  • 02:30 AM: Wake up for the 3-hour trek to the Rinjani Summit (3,726m) for sunrise.
  • Morning: Descend back to the rim for breakfast, then trek down into the caldera to Lake Segara Anak (2,000m).
  • Afternoon: Relax in the natural hot springs near the lake and have lunch by the water.
  • Evening: Climb up to the Senaru Crater Rim (2,641m) for your second campsite, offering views of the lake from the opposite side.

Day 3. Senaru Crater Rim to Senaru Village

  • Distance: ~7.5 km (5–6 hours).

Our Mount Rinjani trekking packages are designed to be as complete and worry-free as possible. In general, the price includes:

  • Pick-up & transfer to a 1-night hotel before the trek.
  • Professional trekking guide & porters.
  • One small tree planting as part of our Eco-friendly program (tree planting season April–May and October–December; during the dry season July–September we focus on mountain clean-up).
  • All meals & drinking water during the trek.
  • Camping equipment – tent, toilet tent, sleeping bags, and mattress.
  • National Park entrance fees – IDR 200,000 per person per day (subject to official changes).
  • First aid kit for the group.
  • Trekking insurance with evacuation coverage, for extra safety.
  • Free dinner on the first night at Green Rinjani restaurant.
  • Luggage storage at Green Rinjani office while you trek.

What is not included in the trekking package price?

  • Personal trekking gear (shoes, jacket, raincoat, backpack).
  • Headlamp or flashlight.
  • Airplane tickets to or from Lombok.
  • Extra porter for personal luggage – around USD 30/day (optional).
  • Personal clothing such as long trekking pants, extra shirts, socks.
