Boat type for 2 days Komodo share tour:

We use traditional Indonesian wooden boats, often referred to as phinisi boats. These vessels are designed to function as liveaboards, providing overnight accommodation for a small to medium-sized group of passengers, usually up to 12-14 people.

Shared tour boats generally fall into two main categories, primarily differing in comfort level and amenities:

  • Standard Boats: These are the more basic, budget-friendly options, popular with backpackers and solo travelers.
    • Facilities: Typically offer fan-cooled cabins (sometimes dorm-style), shared bathrooms, and open-deck lounging areas.
    • Atmosphere: Provide a more communal, “floating hostel” experience, with simple yet functional amenities.
  • Deluxe Boats: These offer a middle ground, providing more comfort for travelers willing to pay a bit more.
    • Facilities: Usually feature air-conditioned (AC) cabins, more comfortable bedding, and sometimes private or semi-private bathrooms with hot water. They often have better lounge areas and sun decks.
    • Atmosphere: Balance practicality with added comfort and style, suitable for couples or small groups.
