3 Days Lake Rinjani Trekking is regular trekking option to explore Crater Rim, Summit Rinjani, Segara Anak Lakge and Crater Rim Senaru. The trail stats from Sembalun village, Segara Anak Lake and descent to Senaru Village.

The 3-day, 2-night (3D2N) trek from Sembalun to Senaru is a classic loop that covers the Mount Rinjani summit (3,726m), the Segara Anak crater lake, and natural hot springs.

Detailed 3D2N Itinerary

Day 1: Sembalun Village to Sembalun Crater Rim

07:00 – 08:00: Breakfast at your accommodation, followed by registration at the Rinjani Information Center (1,051m).
08:00 – 12:00: Begin trekking through open savanna. Reach Pos 1 (1,300m) and Pos 2 (1,500m) for a lunch break.
13:00 – 17:30: Continue the steep ascent through the “Seven Hills” to reach the Sembalun Crater Rim (2,639m).
Evening: Camp overnight; enjoy sunset views over the lake and the summit.

Day 2: Summit Push, Lake Segara Anak & Senaru Rim

02:00 – 03:00: Wake up for a light breakfast and start the summit climb in the dark.
06:00 – 07:00: Reach the Summit (3,726m) for sunrise. Views include Bali’s Mount Agung and Sumbawa.
07:00 – 10:00: Descend back to the Sembalun Rim for a full breakfast.
10:00 – 13:00: Steep descent into the caldera to Lake Segara Anak (2,000m).
13:00 – 15:00: Lunch by the lake, followed by a soak in the Rinjani Hotsprings, located just 10 minutes from the lake.
15:00 – 18:00: Trek back up the caldera wall to the Senaru Crater Rim (2,641m) for your second night of camping.

Day 3: Senaru Crater Rim to Senaru Village

07:00 – 08:00: Breakfast while watching the sunrise over the lake and the “New Volcano” (Gunung Baru Jari).
08:00 – 13:00: Descend through dense tropical rainforest. Pass through Pos 3, 2, and 1, stopping for lunch along the way.
13:00 – 14:00: Arrive at Senaru Village (601m) to finish the trek and transfer to your next destination.

Essential Planning Details

Best Time: April to October (Dry Season). The park is closed January–March.
Difficulty: Challenging. Requires high fitness, steep climbing, and long trekking days.
Logistics: Mandatory eRinjani registration, health certificate, and entry fees (approx. IDR 250k/day) are required. Hiring a licensed guide/porter service is essential.
