2 Days Trekking Summit Rinjani
The main goals of a 2-day Mount Rinjani summit trek are to reach the peak (3,726m) at sunrise. Enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding islands, and experience diverse landscapes.
2 days Summit Rinjani trekking itinerary is designed for experienced trekkers in good physical condition who have limited time. The primary focus of the summit experience and not visiting Segara Anak Lake.

Primary goals of 2 days summit Rinjani trekking:
- Reach the summit: The ultimate objective is to hike to the summit of Mount Rinjani (3,726m).
- Witness a spectacular sunrise: The trek is timed so that climbers can reach the summit to see the sunrise over Lombok, Bali, and Sumbawa.
- Experience breathtaking views: Enjoy panoramic views from the summit, which include the surrounding islands and the stunning volcanic landscapes.
- Trek through diverse landscapes: The route takes you through different environments, from the open savannah of Sembalun to steeper, rocky paths as you ascend.
Prepare a Day pack:

Itinerary – 2 days summit Rinjani.
Day 01. Pick up at any area in Lombok island – Transfer to Senaru base camp
Estimate time travel:
- Lombok Airport to Senaru Village is approximately 4 hours by private Car
- Lembar to Senaru village, approximately 2,5 hours by private car
- Mataram/ Senggigi to Senaru village, approximately 2 hours by private car
- Teluk Kode/ Bangsal Harbor to Senaru village is approximately an hour and 25 minutes by private car
Day 02. Senaru – Sembalun village – Crater Rim Sembalun.
Estimate walk 6-7 hours ( 10 km )
- Wake up at 6.00 am and prepare your breakfast
- At 07.00 am, transfer to Sembalun village for a 45 -60 minute drive
- Process your entrance registration at Rinjani Information Center ( RIC ) 1051m
- Start the trek to POS 1 ( Pos Pemantauan 1.300 M ), 2 hours walk, take a rest for 10 minutes at POS 1
- Walk to POS 2 for 1 hour ( Pos Tengengean 1.500m ), take a rest for 10 minutes
- From Pos 2 to POS 3 ( Pada Balong 1.800m ) take 1 hour walk. Lunch at POS 3 and take a rest for 2 hours.
- Walking up for 3 hours to Crater Rim ( Plawangan Sembalun 2.639m )
- Dinner and Overnight at Crater Rim Sembalun, and enjoy sunset and sunrise the next day.
Day 03. Summit Rinjani – Crater Rim Sembalun – Sembalun village.
The estimated walk is 12 hours ( 15 km )
- Wake up at 02.30 AM. Get a light breakfast.
- Heading to Summit Rinjani ( 3.726m ), walking time approximately 3 hours and 20 minutes
- From the summit, you can see all of Lombok Island, Bali, Sumbawa, and Segara Anak Lake
- Back to camp to get breakfast
- Breakfast at Sembalun Crater Rim over Lake Segara Anak view
- Go down to Sembalun Village, approximately 6 hours. Lunch around Pos 3 or Pos 2
- Transfer to your next destination.
